NOVUS Energy Advisors is pleased to announce that James Lee has joined the firm as Managing Partner, bringing 30 years of energy, capital markets, transaction, and executive leadership experience.
James has advised, led, and executed more than $1 billion in transactions across the energy sector. Most recently, he served as President of Water Services at Select Water Solutions (NYSE: WTTR), leading the company’s largest operating segment and water infrastructure operations across the Permian Basin.
Previously, James spent ten years as Executive Managing Director and National Energy Practice Leader at Riveron, advising private equity sponsors, lenders, and management teams on transactions, restructurings, and value creation across oil and gas. Earlier, he spent a decade as Vice President at Hunt Consolidated and began his career at KPMG. He holds MPA and BBA degrees in Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
A multi-generation Texan, James and his wife of more than 30 years, Holly, are active volunteers with Prison Fellowship and long-time members of First United Methodist Church Richardson.
“James brings exactly the experience NOVUS needs as we expand our work across Texas. He understands how energy assets are financed, negotiated, operated, and ultimately create value. Just as important, he knows Texas, the industry, the people, and how business gets done. His judgment and transaction experience significantly strengthen what we can deliver for the landowners we represent.”
— Emily Brown Easley, Founder & Managing Partner
